The CRB Diarmaid Douglas-Hamilton Memorial Scholarship Award

In honor of Diarmaid Douglas-Hamilton, our beloved cofounder and CTO, we are happy to announce the CRB Diarmaid Douglas-Hamilton Memorial Scholarship Award from the College of Reproductive Biology!

Beginning in 2024, the CRB Diarmaid Douglas-Hamilton Memorial Scholarship Award will be presented annually to two AAB/CRB members to assist with expenses associated with participating in the annual CRB Symposium/AAB Conference educational program (may include transportation/hotel/meeting registration.)

The CRB Diarmaid Douglas-Hamilton Memorial Scholarship was created in honor of the remarkable legacy of the late Diarmaid Douglas-Hamilton, chief technology officer, senior vice president of research and development, and co-founder of Hamilton Thorne.

With Diarmaid’s incredible vision and the support of his wife Meg Spencer, they revolutionized the animal breeding industry and provided pivotal advancements in the fertility treatment sector. Their commitment to science and technology has left an indelible mark on the assisted reproductive technology industry, and through this scholarship, we hope to inspire and support the next generation of innovators.

This scholarship serves as a lasting tribute to Diarmaid Douglas-Hamilton, ensuring that his passion for innovation and advancement in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technology continues to inspire generations to come. It is our sincere hope that through this initiative, we can further the legacy of Diarmaid and Meg by supporting bright minds dedicated to making impactful contributions to science and technology.
