Instrument failure is serious business and affects your laboratory workflow. It can also call the reliability of your lab into question. Hamilton Thorne’s CASACare™ and LASERCare™ service plans offer economical and comprehensive coverage against unexpected repair costs and downtime.
There are two levels of service plans Basic and Plus, providing customers with flexibility to choose features that best suit their needs. Our service plans include remote assistance through TeamViewer® Remote Access support. In many cases, problems can be easily addressed remotely. The TeamViewer application lets us look inside your system’s software to make adjustments (internet access is required to enable this application).
The Plus service plan offers everything that the Basic service plans offers but also includes a yearly on-site Preventive Maintenance (PM) visit to help maximize performance and control repair costs.

IVOS Preventive Maintenance
- Full cleaning, alignment/adjustment of IVOS optical system
- Standard parts (stage cable, fan filter, Bios battery and disposables)
- Computer will be checked and cleaned, boards reseated, voltages re-calibrated
- Software will be updated to latest possible maintenance release
CEROS Preventive Maintenance
- Full external cleaning, alignment/adjustment of CEROS II microscope and camera
- Standard parts (Microscope bulb, Bios battery and disposables)
- Computer will be checked and cleaned, boards reseated, voltages re-calibrated, and software updated to latest possible maintenance release
Laser Preventive Maintenance
- Full cleaning, alignment/adjustment of optical system including confocality of camera and oculars, parfocality between objectives
- Verification of laser focus
- Check RED-i and align (if applicable)
- Testing of laser intensity output and readjusting to factory standards
- Replacement of standard parts
- Computer will be checked and cleaned and hard drive optimized
- Computer boards and all cables checked for wear
- Software will be updated to latest possible maintenance release
