SAFE Sens pH Monitoring

SAFE Sens (Sterile Automated Fluoroscopic Evaluation) offers fast, cost-effective, and non-invasive, calibration free and  continuous pH monitoring product for in vitro fertilization (IVF) embryo culture media in large format and benchtop incubators. SAFE Sens offers peace of mind and gives embryologists a better way to ensure more successful outcomes. Now there is no longer a reason to disturb the fluid to measure pH. SAFE Sens gives you a reliable and easy to use way to monitoring pH in a closed incubator.

The Technology

SAFE Sens employ’s an optical fluorescent measurement technology. This technology used in combination with disposable sensors accurately and reliably monitors the pH of small volumes of fluids such as the media used in IVF. Each sensor contains a proprietary fluorescent dye that is pH sensitive. The fluorescent signal is read continually at a set frequency and converted to pH. The pH readings are displayed on the reader and automatically output to a computer where they are graphed and saved in real time.

Each lot of sterile sensors lasts seven (7) days and is certified by the manufacturer.

TrakPods

The SAFE Sens TrakStation can connect up to eight (8) TrakPods pH monitoring servers in multiple large format incubators or desktop chambers. The TrakStation consists of a touch screen display that magnetically mounts onto the side or front of one of your incubators. It is where TrakPods are interfaced with to initiate pH tests, view historical pH results and output data to USB flash drive.

The TrakPod is the proprietary optical pH measurement server. TrakPods have internal magnets allowing them to be placed on the side of the cabinet style incubator it is pH monitoring. For benchtop incubators, the TrakPod is located inside the incubator.

Automatic pH measurements occur continuously without having to remove samples from the incubator(s).
